The history of harness racing began with the Establishment of the breed in New England that became known as the "American Standardbred" breed for harness racing. These horse shoes were used on harness race horses at the Franklin County Fair Grounds in western Massachusetts. They make a great decorative piece and are rumored to be "full of luck".
